Lunch time already!!!!!!!Surely I am not the only one who gets caught off guard (what does this even mean...off guard ?) sometime around 10:30😉 more like 12:00 if you get my drift, with no plan for lunch and now out of tricks and ways of stretching the good old bolognese ...on jacket potatoes ...rice(chili)...spaghetti...toast....plantain.......in between lasagna sheets.....stuffed.. into pasta shells 🐚, in little bags of pasta ....broth with root vegetables......have I left anything under the sun out ????
By now you've guessed it , we exist on giant pots of bolognese. Today however is different as with no mince in site I've had to prepare our other favourite thing....PIZZA yup what did you think ? Orange glazed duck breast with quail eggs and shredded lemon grass infused carviar 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔no. As a busy mum I can not imagine life without my bread maker or should I say my husband can not, as he is the bread .. dough man of the house and after many centuries of moaning about wanting a cheats way out of bread making, shall I say santa finallllllly brought me one and yes we are happy. So back to lunch; Today Tilly and I have enjoyed making pizza from left over dough which stores well refrigerated or frozen, which she thoroughly enjoyed as whats more fun than knocking every element of air out of your 😉😉😉😉😉😉dough, making dough figures, coming up with toppings and finally the fun bit, eating... nothing !!!!!! as I've long figured out, everything tastes fab with melted cheese, if you are lucky to have some fresh herbs, imagine the yum taste of fresh tomatoes basil and good motzarrela with a splash of olive oil straight out of your oven .... The fantastic thing about your home made pizza is that as long as you have dough and cheese you can come up with anything you like and it's always original and the kids love it. May not be a recognisable shape or Of great beauty but you can count on not having any left overs🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓 Thinking about items I cannot live without re meals should I say my pantry essentials, items that ensure my children are fed watered and my sanity semi intact, my life savers..... # Bread maker # Kmix # Countless number of recipe books which I never follow # Flour: strong, double O, self raising and plain. # pasta: shells, sheets, all shapes # Rice # yeast # Vanila # Butter # Baking powder # eggs # herb pot : basil, parsley, thyme, oregano # Sundried tomatoes # Tomato sauce # Mince # Cheese: cheddar, motzarella, permasan # Seasonal Vegetable box (throwing this in with a 🙏🏾) # seasonal fruit box so so here are pictures from today's lunch shenanigans..... This is so down to earth, I really envy your ways of parenting. You are so real and a role model to others who seem to think they have to conform to the trend, of everything out of the box and everything MacD.

Hi DR, thank you for your comment, I am afraid that I don't deserve it at all, I have to confess that I sometimes take my children for breakfast at McDonald's, they love it as well as my home cooking too, but you are right my waffles trump their pancakes any day....
